Century Chemical Works Sdn. Bhd. (CCWSB) is a technology enabled, market driven and customer focused joint-venture concern which was incorporated in 1969 by Japanese and Malaysian industrialists that manufactures Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) under the registered trade name MALBON.
From a humble beginning with merely three production lines and annual output of 2000 M/T in year 1972, the company has since then expanded to eight production lines and emerged as one of the utmost prominent and largest wood based PAC producers in South East Asia with total combined annual production capacity of 13,000 M/T. In line with another strategic move which was well chartered towards meeting the ever increasing market demands for ultra-pure premium quality PAC, CCWSB had, in year 2012, invested in another patented and novel acid washing technology through technical collaboration with Osaka Gas Chemicals (OGC), one of Asia's foremost producers of activated carbons, to produce new grades of Ultra-pure premium quality PAC which are marketed under the brand name MALBON® Pure.
With the evolvement and upgrading of activated carbon manufacturing technical excellence over five decades, our PAC is produced through a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible manner with the incorporation of HACCP and GMP, tailor-manufactured to meet the various needs and requirements of medical and pharmaceutical, catalyst carrier, wine, Sake & Soju, Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Organic Acid, food and beverages, chemicals and oleochemicals, edible oils & Fats, potable water, municipal water and waste water treatment sectors etc.
