Surface Area and Pore Size Analyzer
Surface area is the means through which a solid interacts with its surroundings.
It is of paramount importance as this will significantly affect reaction rates of processes such as adsorption, dissolution, catalytic activity etc.
Being the utmost important thumb print of Activated Carbon, the quality of our products in terms of specific surface area and pore size distribution are measured by using BELSORP Mini II Surface Area and Pore Size Analyzer.

As the existence of certain trace elements may significantly disrupt process performance and lead to undesired outcomes, we detect and measure such trace elements by using Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.

Horiba Laser Scattering PSD Analyzer
Particle size distribution of activated carbon is an important parameter in specifying carbons for specific applications as it significantly affects operating conditions such as pressure drop, filtration capabilities, backwash rate requirements and the rate of adsorption of adsorbates.
For smaller particles, the rate of diffusion of adsorbates into pores and its subsequent adsorption is significantly increased as it reduces the amount of contact time required.
In Century Chemical Works, we measure particle size distribution by using Horiba Laser Scattering PSD Analyzer.
